'Whiplash' actor Miles Teller cast in 'Top Gun: Maverick' as Goose's son





Top Gun: Maverick, the upcoming sequel to the iconic Tom Cruise starrer Top Gun, will feature Whiplash actor Miles Teller in a lead role. Teller will essay the role of pilot Goose's son.

Who is Goose?



In Top Gun, Goose’s real name was Nick Bradshaw, a lieutenant (Junior Grade). Goose had a signature saying in Top Gun, 'Great Balls of Fire’ which was inspired from a Jerry Lewis song. Actor Anthony Edwards played the role of Goose in Top Gun.

Goose’s son

Goose’s son is named Bradley Bradshaw. Goose died when Bradley was 4 years old. In Top Gun: Maverick, the sequel, Bradley will be protĂ©gĂ© of Tom Cruise’s Maverick.

Joseph Kosinski will direct Top Gun: maverick. Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer will reprise their roles from the original, which was directed by the late Tony Scott.

This Kevin Costner, Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins movie has aged beautifully.  The movie begins with the voice of Annie Savoy, the lead character played by Susan Sarandon. She is kind of a spiritual person who considers baseball as her religion. " I believe in the church of baseball," she says. Savoy picks a baseball guy every year as her lover. Savoy says she makes these boys feel confident and they make her feel safe. She chose baseball as her religion as there's no guilt in it, unlike Christianity. Thus she doesn't feel guilty for sleeping with the baseball boys.
