It presented the disreputable genre of horror with a new direction and aesthetics. The Roman Polansky masterpiece is about a pregnant woman who believes she conceived the baby of Satan. The subtext of the movie is obviously the inner conflicts a woman undergoes while pregnant. A slew of other horror movies followed with a pregnant woman at the center of the narrative (There were some good films like ' Its Alive' ). We are currently witnessing a new renaissance in the horror genre and many of them deals with a similar theme, which Rosemary's Baby effectively tackled. Blood Hunt, the 2017 horror movie directed by Sam Curtain, is an interesting addition to the horror movie tradition. It seems no one has virtually seen this direct to video movie as Google gives zero results if you search for a review about this little movie on internet. Blood Hunt is a violent horror-revenge-thriller. The movie seems shot on a tight budget with the crew going absolutely 'frugal' while making this movie. The plot of the movie can be easily summarized in a short sentence. A couple goes for a trip to a small town, three men holds them captive and torture them. The hero then retaliates by killing the torturers. There is nothing original about the plot. The story has been told a million times before. But Blood Hunt arouses our curiosity.
