The new book on my shelf is Vernon God Little written by DBC Pierre. The book is the winner of The Man BOOKER PRIZE 2003. DBC Pierre was born in Australia and spent a lavish upbringing in Mexico. After winning the Whitbread First Novel Award in 2003 he became the first writer ever to receive a Booker and a Whitbread for the same book.
